Celebrity Spotlight
For today, I wanted to keep up with our celebrity spotlights- and have it focused on Asian Americans. There’s sadly not too many Asians today in the American media - but there’s one guy out there obviously killin the game: STEVEN YEUN
Steven doesn’t have too many roles under his belt, but everyone knows him from AMC’s The Walking Dead. He plays Glenn Rhee, a Korean American dude known for his good heart, quick-thinking, and bravery. The character Glenn’s also dating Maggie who can get pretty smokin hot.
If you don’t watch The Walking Dead and you’re hearing about this guy for the first time, do yourself a favor and watch the following interviews:
1. Steven on Craig Ferguson
2. Steven on Jimmy Kimmel Live
You see now why America’s been hooked on this guy, right? Steven’s got a natural charm that shows in his wittily chosen words, chilled out composure, and ability to laugh at himself. I can honestly say he’s one of my favorite celebrities to watch being interviewed.
And importantly, he’s swaggin out with his menswear. He’s famously known to keep his ankles on display, knit ties, his haphazard yet styled hairstyle, and is rarely seen without a pocket square when suited. The guy knows his fabrics, and he wears them well. He’s an avid fan of Sid Mashburn, a high-end menswear line that gets their inspiration from icons like Steve McQueen (America’s staple suave man).
He’s talented, charming, destroying mad Asian stereotypes- and keeps his wardrobe pristine while doing it. Keep your eyes on this Korean, fellas- we know he’s headed towards some huge things.
Stay inspired,
